The ideas that keep coming back

It's crazy how an idea I don't even really want to write about will just keep coming back and bugging me.

Sometimes I think it's goofy. Or I decide I should be writing something more interesting, or different from the stuff I've been writing lately.

It doesn't matter. The idea is lodged in some queue in my brain, and until I get it out, it blocks everything behind it.

Then I finally write it and other ideas start flowing again.

The other funny thing is I have basically no idea which posts will connect with people. Sometimes I'm super excited about something and it gets no engagement at all. Other times I write the thing I thought was too simple or goofy and it gets a surprising amount of traction.

Apparently I don't get to choose what I need to write, and I'm not very good at predicting what other people need to read.
